Looking for a easy and fun way to complete your high school community hours?? Consider checking out our new REACH program that allows youth in our community to gain their hours by reading novels and writing a short reflection on it. Stop by the Firehouse Youth Centre for more information or email us at firehouse@jhsd.ca .
What you will need to do:
- Stop by the centre to pick up a novel
- Read the novel
- Write a short reflection paper roughly 100-150 words in length
- Provide a review or summary of the book as well as a recommendation (ie. should other people read it)
- Include a star rating out of 5 (5 being the best)
- Completed reviews need to be emailed to firehouse@jhsd.ca in order to be eligible for hours.
